Rules

We want you to relax, unwind, and feel right at home. To help keep The Happy Place comfortable for everyone, we kindly ask that you follow these simple house rules.


Respect the Space


  • Check in from 1pm and Check out by 11am
  • No smoking inside the home
  • No pets, unless agreed prior to arrival
  • Please rinse off sand and saltwater before coming inside
  • Report any damage, breakages or issues as soon as possible
  • No food or drink allowed in bedrooms
  • Do not drag furniture or items across the floors - lift and carry to avoid damage


Respect the Community


  • No loud noise after 10pm
  • No parties or large gathering or schoolies. Tinnanbar is a quiet, residential area
  • Locals may stop to say hi or wave as they walk past - it's just the Tinnanbar way!
  • From time to time, community members may offer raffle tickets for local fundraising - no pressure, but all proceeds go back into the town


Keep it Clean


There is no cleaner after your stay (hence why there is no cleaning fee) Guests will need to ensure home is clean and tidy ready for the next guest.

This includes

  • Doing the dishes
  • Taking out the rubbish
  • Cleaning the BBQ
  • Vacuuming the floor and mopping spills and marks
  • Returning items to their place
  • Cleaning toilet and bathroom
  • Failure to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition may result in the loss of your bond.
  • Guests may hire a cleaner with permission from the owners. All payments must be made directly by the guest to the cleaning service.
